Day 1
Start of the Lanzarote Tour 2023
After arriving on the island and adjusting the bikes, we immediately went to dinner. Tomorrow we will start with the 1st stage.

Day 2 – Volcano tour
Today’s stage led past impressive lava fields and many grape vines to Tinajo and further to the west coast to Famara with a delicious lunch. From here we headed back across the plateau to Puerto del Carmen vià Teguise and the pretty town of San Bartolomé.

Day 3 – Lava fields
Today’s fantastic stage took us to the Parque Natural de los Volcanes and Timanfaya National Park. A very special landscape with huge solidified lava fields. We all could not get out of the amazement. The comfortable lunch stop in El Golfo gave us the opportunity to talk about the special landscape. We continued across the beautiful island back to the hotel with many amazed faces about what we had experienced.
The wind was also a faithful companion today and our Rinaldo raved the whole day about this sensationally beautiful island.

Day 4 – Valle Tabajesco
We start the tour along the sea in the middle of Arrecife and further to Costa Teguise before it really started! After a short coffee stop came the first real 10 km long climb to Valle Tabayesco. A beautiful pass road to the Mirador Barranco del Chafarís. This first pass this year required some drops of sweat but also happy faces about what we had accomplished. Our Walter, however, it was not enough altitude and so he drove down without further ado instead of left, right! Arrived down in Haria he noticed that no one of his troop was there! Well, there helped only one, turn around and up again.

Rest day on Lanzarote
On today’s rest day, some of us relaxed, enjoyed the sun or the sea and a few enjoyed the surroundings by bike. Island greetings to all.

Day 6 – Mirador del Rio
The royal stage was on which led us once through the whole island to the northernmost village of the island – Orzola. On the way in Teguise (coffee break) the group split up. Group Isabelle went back to the highlands and drove there some km and group Patrick drove as planned further north. A WOW moment for all was when we drove to the Mirador del Rio. The view simply unbeatable beautiful despite fierce wind. Luckily we had helmets on, otherwise our hairstyles would have suffered greatly.
An eventful and exhausting day comes to an end.

Day 7 – coasting through the lava fields
And again today’s stage led us to the beautiful south through the impressive national parks and the mystical lava fields. We enjoyed the lunch stop in the center of the island before we went back to Puerto del Carmen. Tonight we enjoy on the roof of the hotel in the Lava Bar and let the impressions of this week pass again in review.
