Travel to Martigny
Travel to Martigny on your own. We’ll meet in the late afternoon at our lodging in Martigny, check into our rooms, and officially kick off our event with a group dinner.
Martigny – Arvier
107 km / 3,230 m elevation gain
We kick off the event and tackle the Col Champex (1,495 m) right from the start. After a short descent, we begin the climb to the Col du Grand-Saint-Bernard (2,473 m). At the top of the pass, we bid farewell to Switzerland and roll onto Italian soil. The subsequent 40-kilometer descent takes us into the Aosta Valley, where we check into our hotel in Arvier.
Arvier – Beaufort
111 km / 3,240 m elevation gain
Right at the start, we climb the beautiful Col du Petit-Saint-Bernard (2,188 m). Once at the top, we say goodbye to Italy and enter French territory (Vive la France). The 30-kilometer-long, dreamlike descent to Bourg-Saint-Maurice is sure to make every cyclist’s heart race. Afterward, we head straight up to the Cormet de Roselend (1,968 m). In Beaufort, we relax and wind down this eventful day with a beer or two.
Beaufort – Martigny
118 km / 2,900 m elevation gain
After breakfast, we head up to the Col des Saisies (1,650 m). Once we reach the valley, we pass through numerous well-known French ski resorts on our way to Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. The impressive view of the majestic Mont Blanc accompanies us along the way.
The route continues uphill to the Col des Montets (1,461 m), where we once again set foot on Swiss soil. To cap off the day, we’ll tackle the Col de la Forclaz (1,527 m) before the final descent back to Martigny awaits us.
