Tuscany Dreams

Enjoyment among vineyards and cypress trees

Our road bike week in Tuscany around Massa Marittima offered everything a road cyclist could desire: sunshine, small and large hills, and pure Italian lifestyle.

Even the first ride showed that Tuscany is beautiful, but also quite hilly. On small roads, through olive groves and forests, we enjoyed magnificent panoramas and our first cappuccino stop in Prata. The following days brought sporting highlights and many moments of enjoyment with the Tirli Pass, long descents, and undulating stages to the sea.

The rest day was also spent actively—some explored Siena, others took a short ride around Tatti. The queen stage via Montieri demanded strength once again in the cool wind, but was rewarded with proud faces and pasta. Finally, a flatter ride took us to the sea at Follonica, where gelato and sunshine rounded off the week perfectly. In total, we clocked up around 400 to 450 kilometers and countless wonderful memories. Over drinks by the pool, everyone looked back with satisfaction on a wonderful time – road bikes, enjoyment, and Tuscany in perfect combination.
