Travel to La Spezia
We’ll meet up at the train station in Zurich and travel via Milan to La Spezia, where we’ll arrive in the early evening. There, we’ll meet the rest of our crew and enjoy our first evening together. A stroll through the port city will get us in the mood for the days ahead.

La Spezia – Lucca (approx. 76 Km / approx. 420 Hm)
Once we’ve adjusted our bikes, we’re off! The first stage takes us over the hills around La Spezia and then toward Versilia and Viareggio, before we head inland to Lucca. To cap off the day, we’ll explore the beautiful historic old town with its imposing city walls and the Piazza dell’Anfiteatro. An aperitivo is a must here!

Lucca – San Gimignano (approx. 77 Km / approx. 570 Hm)
Today we’ll immerse ourselves in the Tuscan countryside: vineyards, olive groves, and gentle but steady hills characterize the route. Along the way, we’ll pass through historic towns and repeatedly enjoy sweeping views of the landscape. At the end of the day, a real highlight awaits us in San Gimignano with its famous medieval towers.

A shorter but hilly stage takes us through the heart of Tuscany toward Siena. Vineyards and cypress trees line our path. Once we arrive in Siena, there will be time to explore the historic old town and the famous Piazza del Campo.

Siena – Castiglione del Lago (approx. 84 Km / approx. 870 Hm)
Today we’ll experience the distinctive landscape of southern Tuscany. The route continues toward the Val di Chiana and Lake Trasimeno, with a few longer climbs ahead of us. Our destination, Castiglione del Lago, is spectacularly perched above the lake and offers a wonderful view from the medieval Rocca del Leone.

Castiglione del Lago – San Lorenzo in Campo (approx. 125 Km / approx. 1,570 Hm)
The longest and most challenging day of our trip lies ahead: 125 kilometers and about 1,570 meters of elevation gain will really test us today. We’ll leave Lake Trasimeno and ride through Umbria toward the Apennines and the Marche region—with numerous climbs, descents, and impressive mountain panoramas. In the evening, we’ll reach San Lorenzo in Campo and can look back with pride on our crowning achievement.

San Lorenzo in Campo – Rimini (approx. 85 Km / approx. 720 meters of elevation gain)
To wrap things up, the route takes us through the rolling countryside of the Marche region toward the Adriatic coast. We’ll pass through the area around Fano and Pesaro as we approach the sea, before the final kilometers become increasingly flat. Finally, we’ll reach Rimini—and who among you is looking forward to the exciting nightlife?

Return to Switzerland
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to Italy and an eventful week. We’ll be driven to the train station and begin our journey home to Switzerland. We’ll take with us many shared experiences, beautiful landscapes, and countless kilometers and meters of elevation gain.

If you don’t want to bring your own bike, we also offer high-quality racing bikes of the noble brand Storck for our domestic cycling tours. Our bikes are equipped with Look or SPD pedals. Please bring other pedal systems with you. If you don’t want to do without your usual seating comfort, bring your saddle with you.
We will make sure that the bikes are safely looked after on the road.
