Your cycling marathon highlight
Take on the challenge on Saturday and conquer the «La Cuorta». The bike race leads from Zernez over impressive mountain routes, past the Swiss National Park, along reservoirs, over high passes and through imposing valleys. Grab your road bike and take part in what is arguably Switzerland’s most spectacular Alpine race.
Our package includes an overnight stay and a day full of action on your road bike – perfect for your individual cycling marathon experience!
Prologue (7 km, 400 m of altitude)
Give it your all! The time trial from Zernez to the Ofen Pass covers 400 meters of altitude on the 7-kilometer route. The start is every 30 seconds from a ramp in front of cheering spectators.
La Cuorta (97 km, 1,367 m of altitude)
3 passes, 2 of which are over 2000 meters, and 97 exciting kilometers: «La Cuorta» is your challenge in front of a unique dream backdrop with glaciers and the Swiss National Park.
La Svizra (117 km, 2,815 meters of climbing)
You will have to conquer more than twice as many meters of altitude as in «La Cuorta»! You will ride through the alpine landscape of the Flüela Pass, cross the impressive Landwasser Valley, cross the Albula Pass and embark on a rapid descent back to the Engadine.
We meet on Friday afternoon in Baar and travel together by comfortable minibus to Zernez. Once there, we pick up our race numbers and check into the hotel. In the evening, we will have dinner together and a warm official welcome – the perfect start to a weekend of sports.
On Saturday morning, we will set off from the hotel to Zernez early to get the best warm-up. The «La Cuorta» route can be mastered individually or in a group. After the race, we will enjoy a well-deserved portion of pasta together before setting off on our journey home in the evening, relaxed and looking back on an unforgettable cycling adventure.
If you do not want to bring your own bike, we also offer high-quality racing bikes from the premium brand Storck for our domestic bike tours. Our bikes are equipped with Look or SPD pedals. Please bring other pedal systems with you. If you do not want to do without your usual seating comfort, bring your own saddle. We will ensure that the bikes are safely stored along the route.
