Ride the Italian Alps

19.07 – 26.07.2025

The Wall of Fame – No mercy for the calf

Tough climbs, burning legs, fantastic views and priceless kilometers of road cycling – this is probably the best way to describe the “Ride the Italian Alps”.

In the evening, of course, a fine meal and a nice place to stay are part of the experience, so that you can also relax and unwind. This tour is suitable for road cyclists who are in very good shape and enjoy riding in the mountains or those who simply train a lot and really want to ride the Sella Ronda or the Stelvio Pass – but beware, we have discovered many more beautiful and lesser-known passes for you.

Stage plan

Day 1

Saturday, 19.07.2025

Arrival and prologue St. Moritz – Tirano (71 km /1000 Hm)

We travel together by bus to St. Moritz. After a small snack, we tackle the first few kilometers of cycling and cross the Bernina Pass. Then we let it roll down almost 2000 m to Tirano. We have already reached Italy.

Day 2

Sunday, 20.07.2025

Tirano – Pisogne (125 km / 2’860 Hm)

Surrounded by two-thousand-meter peaks, we set off on our adventure today after a short roll-in and experience for the first time what it means to be part of "Ride the Italian Alps". The Vivione Pass and the Passo della Presalona are not among the well-known passes. But both climbs are tough. We spend the night in one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Pisogne, on the southern shore of Lago di Iseo.

Day 3

Monday, 21.07.2025

Pisogne – Idro (92 km / 2’220 Hm)

We have enough time to warm up our legs. But then we start the climb up to what is probably the most legendary pass in Brescia - the Passo Crocedomini. The Cammonica, Sabbia and Trompia valleys converge at this pass. At the top of the pass, we take it easy and enjoy a wonderful descent down to Lago d'Idro.

Day 4

Tuesday, 22.07.2025

Idro – Trento/Trentino (105 km / 2’040 Hm)

Today we cycle all day on wonderful, varied roads through the beautiful mountains of northern Italy. We enjoy the cycle paths of the Via Alta, climb the Duron Pass, ride past impressive canyons until we arrive at Lago di Toblino and ride into Trentino.

Day 5

Wednesday, 23.07.2025

Trento – Corvara (123 km /3’020 Hm)

Today's stage is a single ascent over 123 km and will demand a lot from us. However, the scenery will motivate us to keep going. Today's highlight is the Passo Pordio (2,239 m above sea level), which has been ridden more than forty times by the Giro d'Italia and connects Trentino with Veneto. After the Pordoi Pass, the Campolongo Pass remains until we reach Corvara - that's right: we're on the famous Sellaronda.

Day 6

Thursday, 24.07.2025

Corvara – Prad (149 km / 1’670 Hm)

Every turn of the bike is a pleasure... We cycle over the Passo Gardena and the Gardena Pass, past the famous Sassolungo to S. Cristina in Val Gardena. In Bolzano we are sure to have a coffee and from there we take the Etschtal cycle path, ride through the beautiful Vinschgau valley with its fruit trees to the foot of the Stilfserjoch to Prad. Want to bet your blood pressure is a little higher than usual tonight?

Day 7

Friday, 25.07.2025

Prad – St.Moritz (110 km / 3’240 Hm)

Today it's "Shut up legs". We treat ourselves to the royal stage with the high alpine passes: Stelvio, Umbrail and Ofenpass. Not much needs to be written about it. When we arrive in St. Moritz, we can be proud of an incredible week, which we round off together.

Day 8

Saturday, 26.07.2025

Return journey by car to Baar

Finally, we make the return journey to Baar together, with lots of great memories and tired calves! Arrival in Baar around midday.
